Blaster's Bay is a secluded spot bounded by trickling waterfalls, golden sands and gently lapping waves. For pilots who also dabble in exploration, there are 11 daily rewards hidden in the apartment's nooks and crannies. And to celebrate the launch of this space, there are exclusive new colour variations of Sodium outfits in both the store and Gift Machine. Even if there's no snow on the ground in your part of the world, some corner of Home is sure to be crisp and cold. So, wrap up warmly and venture into colder climes to try out Lockwood's new Winter Activities Animation Pack. Make snow angels, slide on the ice or just shiver with cold. Delirious Squid's Victoriana Gothic range is expanding. The fingerless gloves, tumbling locks and lace up boots combine for a formal period look, or could easily be mixed and matched with other wardrobe favourites to produce a unique Steam Punk look. And finally, the Year of the Snake is drawing to a close. Soon, The Year of the Horse will be trotting over the horizon, and Lockwood have contemporary fashions inspired by Chinese chic, the two part cheongsam and changshan outfits.
I own Blasters Paradise, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two from the video. Same place slightly reconfigured... talk about lazy. It's like they aren't even trying to hide their re-skin jobs anymore. Meh, it's in their gift machine anyways so it's a good thing it's nothing cool I'd actually want. Veemee has them beat on that front. The winter animation pack looks decent enough. Sadly, I won't support their animation packs anymore after being mislead by their Jungle 'Dance' pack... which isn't a dance pack at all, but just a few emotes that don't cycle.
This was the space they decided to reskin? really? how old is this space why are we bringing it back out now? I think the Gothic furniture is cute tho' besides that meh on this update.
It appears that this "Blasters Bay" is really "Blasters Paradise" re-skinned. Added some rewards, changed the layout a bit and put it in the Gift Machine.
But wait! if you are in Lockwood prarie Saloon & you put a mirror/mirrored object/s it shows blasters paradise... I mean from what isee there it looks likeblasters paradise.... even if you don't wantit or got it you might have to see it!
Love the new colors to the Gothic furniture line! I don't see a problem with them adding Blaster's Paradise to the gift machine but I think they should've added the rewards to the purchased version, so that people who already have it, get the rewards. And I think it's a little shady renaming it 'Blaster Bay' because it's a guarantee someone out there with the original will buy the gift version thinking its a whole new space and inevitably feel cheated. They should've just named it Blaster Paradise's- Giftable Version. If they had done that, I would've had no complaints and would've honestly cheered on the decision to add older LKWD spaces to the gift machine. They are plenty of new Home users since the Xmas bundle/Xmas price drop of the PS3, so they're plenty of people that have never experienced this space yet. Good idea, bad execution as per Home goes. Also, PLEASE PLEASE stop using the 'silent movie' filter in your preview videos! It makes it nearly impossible to see the fluidity of your advertised LMOs!! LWKD, please feel free to focus group your future ideas with a pool of your customers. It seems your recent marketing has missed the mark, come off greedy and to some, even outright rude. LWKD has always been one of my favorite devs but recent marketing decisions and campaigns have left a bad taste in my mouth. However, I did like the CyberGoth line, the Chinese New Year clothing and ornaments, and I really liked the new Gothic clothing. Good Luck in the new year LKWD!! I remain hopeful and excited for future NEW content from you guys.
Another reskin of an old space, i having a deja vú. A lot of content, new Victorianas clothes the most like to me, we see the rest tomorrow...
Let's be honest, Lockwood's been getting sloppy with the quality of their content, this past year. I'm almost certain Avakin plays a bit of a role in this disappointment. And I couldn't possibly agree more with GreyNeo on the whole issue with re-naming and 'reiteration' of the original Blaster's Paradise.
It's got to the point that developers have realised that they can't make money on home by releasing thing to do. They have to release things to buy, because of that each developer is pushing out what they can each update. Quantity not quality is what home is about now. Sent from my ST25i using Tapatalk 2
