Ok suddenly I'm a noob. You goto the XMB and change the time manually? The date? Someone changed the the date to July 15?
Yes, for the Marlin (swordfish) you have to change the date to when there will be a full moon (next day been July 15th)
I changed the date to July 15th, 3:26 a.m. or so, logged on and went to play the fish game but now I'm missing fish and cannot even select the Big Daddy rod. Yikes. :lookaround: I got scared and logged off, changed date to current and logged back on, read your message and before seeing if all was well again, logged off changed to July 15th and tried again. Went to Harbor apt and checked out my fabulous fish tank and the fishies appeared to be there. Went back to play game and caught a green beauty! No that kind, a Marlin of course. :smile: Thanks Rachel!
Go to another space and then back to the game, that worked for me everytime the rewarded items weren't showing up.
Any tips on casting properly? It feels like level 10 on Bell Ringer trying to get the timing right for casting my lure out there. Except now it's like I've got a drunk controller, if such a thing were possible. :boxed: That only makes marginally as much sense as this casting modus operandi.
I'd give some tips but I guess I got lucky most of the time with my casting, only tip I can give is tilt back and wait for the line to start going towards the middle before tilting forward.
Just set these times/date on PS3 for the last 3 fish: 12 noon for piranha 5:30 pm for catfish 3:50 pm on 7/15 for marlin (this is just the time that sam mentioned on first page of thread..and it worked for me. It sounds like others are getting it at different times and without even changing the date). After setting the time and going back into Home, if you dont see the fish you want just keep exiting/re-entering the game until it shows up.
^^^^ altraman, stop spamming. In the Uk and my sis in law just saw the marlin at exactly 11oclock...she then quit to change rods and he was gone Recca, that is what I read earlier just get all the fish
yep get all the fish... The last 3 are the hard one's and only out at certain times... But i got all 18 and the Underwater Apartment.... So it can be done! YAY! By: DCS

FYI regarding fish weights. I'm now absolutely sure about the weight of the Marlin, it is 100 pounds, and the Piranha is too. Seemed to take a long time to reel the Piranha in though. special edit: i'm also absolutely sure you can catch a 90-pound Marlin :whatsthat:
ok thx Casp--good to know. I edited my previous post about the time for the marlin. That was just the time I had seen on pg 1 of this thread and it worked for me.
Fishing tip: While reeling in a fish you can red bar your max for 1 or 2 maybe 3 seconds, It helps brings the fish in closer and faster and also can keep doing it.. Just practice at it to get the timing right..
