Sony plans to release its new console next year, said the source.

According to the source, Microsoft opted for an optical drive in the next Xbox console for the same reason.

A spokesperson for both Sony and Microsoft declined to comment on the rumor to WSJ.

After the emergence of the game’s logo yesterday, the first screenshots of Dead Space 3 have appeared online ahead of a expected announce at E3 next week.
AGB‘s gone up with the first screens of Dead Space 3.
The site has six shots in total.
Issac Clark does still feature, but the screens also show a second person fighting alongside him in action. This may add weight to the talk surrounding a drop in, drop out co-op mode for the game.
The shots also show the game’s new location.

The game’s logo and a smaller screen appeared online yesterday. On Tuesday, a graphic novel trailer showed a new character in the Dead Space universe whose story looks set to be expanded upon in DS3. It’s probable the guy alongside Issac is that character.

EA announced at the start of the month a new Dead Space game was in development, but wouldn’t elaborate further than that.

If you haven’t yet grabbed a copy of 2008 PSP fighter Fate/unlimited Codes, do so at once – not only is it on sale, but it’s soon to make a graceful exit from the PlayStation Network.
Capcom Unity expects the game to be pulled on June 12. It’s 50% off at $9.99 for the interim.

Fate/unlimited Codes, which was developed by Cavia and Eighting, is one of a number of products based on visual novel Fate/stay night. Capcom has decided not to renew the franchise’s license, meaning it can’t legally make money off them.

Love it or hate it, the Hitman: Absolution trailer released yesterday – full of sexy, female assassins in dom-gear disguised as nuns getting their asses handed to them – caused quite a stir on the Internet. Today, just to give you a bit of added color, we’ve posted the video again but this time, it includes commentary from producer Luke Valentine. Game’s out on November 20 worldwide for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

My favourite Lollipop Chainsaw move is the one where the zombie obligingly stands still so Juliet can chainsaw it in half starting from the butt crack.

Lollipop Chainsaw is the latest effort from Grasshopper Manufacture, and arrives on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 12 in the US, June 13 in Australia, and June 15 in Europe.

Warner has released a set of screenshots for NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us. Solomon Grundy seems to be the main antagonist in these screens, and at one point he’s about to use his tomb stone to smash The Flash over the head. Awesome. The brawler, featuring DC Comics heroes and villains, is slated for release in 2013 on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. Enjoy.

    Borderlands 2

I'm not a big FPS player, but there are a few that grab my attention.
The 1st game was fun and loved the look of the game, hopefully this will be just as good.

It’s always nice when a game that you’d decided to buy anyway gets the giveaway treatment with PlayStation Plus. Arkedo’s off-the-wall Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is the latest title to get added to the premium service’s Instant Game Collection. That means members in Europe won’t need to pay a penny to play the pretty platformer when it launches on 3rd October.
The game puts you in control of Ash, an evil rabbit angered by a vicious smear campaign. When the protagonist’s archenemy uploads candid images of him to the “Hell-ternet”, the bunny is forced to take his revenge.

Thankfully, he’s armed with the tools to do so – including a range of guns and projectile launchers.
As you attempt to dispatch the title’s enemies, you’ll be forced to complete a slew of mini-games in order to finish the deed. These are demonstrated in the trailer embedded below, and get just as bonkers as the game’s initial premise.
Arkedo’s made some incredibly slick titles in the past, so we’re eager to see how Hell Yeah! stacks up. That it won’t cost a bean is just an added bonus.

    Kindom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX

Included is Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kindom Hearts RE: Chains of Memories both in HD with trophy support.
(and the cut scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days)

I was glad to see this announced at TGS, as I loved the series and it also would give me the chance to try Chain's of Memories. (the only one I have yet to play)
I just hope it gets a release outside of Japan, if not thank goodness the ps3 is region free. :p
