Shank 2 Announced for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC At the Electronic Arts Vegas Game Show today, a sequel to Shank was announced -- and it won't be long before it's in our hands. Shank 2 is being built from the ground-up and features online co-op support in what's described as an arcade-style survivor mode. Judging by the screens and the first, short trailer, it looks to be just as gorgeous as the first game. "Creatively, Shank still has a lot to give," said developer Klei Entertainment's founder, Jamie Cheng. "We took the feedback from the community and ran with it, putting our own flavor on every change. Uncharted Dramatization to Air on TV Tokyo According to TV Tokyo's online programming guide, the network will be airing a dramatization of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception next Monday at 11:53 PM. At only seven minutes, it's not clear what exactly this program is, but the copy on TV Tokyo's site reads, "The dramatization of the complete, action-packed story of the newest Uncharted game, Drake's Deception." Since it's being listed as an information/variety show, we're guessing this is just a quick look at the characters and plot of Uncharted 3. Most Japanese marketing campaigns focus more on characters than gameplay, so such a move wouldn't be surprising. Bethesda's "Scrolls" Lawsuit Against Minecraft Dev Going to Court Bethesda is serious about its lawsuit to get the name of Mojang's upcoming Scrolls changed. The lawsuit it filed against the Minecraft developer this summer is now headed to court. Little is known about Scrolls, which was first revealed back in March as a collectible card/board game hybrid -- a far cry from the action/adventure RPG that the Elder Scrolls games could be described as. But it's the game's name that Bethesda has taken issue with, feeling it is confusingly similar with its Elder Scrolls trademark. Starting this week, Sony will be pushing exclusive games and gaming content as part of a brand new ‘Only On PlayStation Network’ program the company is rolling out, according to IndustryGamers. Capcom's God Hand, coming to PS3! The games will include high profile stuff likeinFamous: Festival of Blood as well as Pub Fund indie games like Eufloria and Okabu. Regular PSN developers like PixelJunk (with Sidescroller) will also bolster the line-up.“‘Only On PlayStation Network’ is our line of great exclusive games that users can count on to deliver exciting game experiences that can’t be found anywhere else,” said Susan Panico, senior director of PlayStation Network, SCEA. Cleverly, Sony will also be pushing PS2 titles onto the PSN, like the esoteric God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo, Odin Sphere and Ring of Red. Other incentives abound, like discounts for Plus subscribers and credit back when you spend certain amounts. Although locked down for the US at the moment, we’d be disappointed not to hear something similar from SCEE soon, although most of the ideas do already match up with the European Play scheme. PS2 Titles Also Coming To European PS3s (but not the "only on psn" programme) We’ve just spoken to Sony and can confirm that European PS3 owners can also look forward to PS2 games coming to their console – exciting news for anyone doubting the validity of our earlier post this morning. “The Only On PlayStation Network programme is for the SCEA region only,” said a SCEE spokesperson to TheSixthAxis. “However, we will be bringing the majority of the content to the SCEE audience, including Classic PS2 titles.” Note the capital letter, which might suggest that’s the official line. And it's looking for new talent outside of Japan to help create the "'Next' MGS." The Metal Gear developer will be actively recruiting at next month's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, according to new job listings on its official site. Kojima Productions says it's seeking engineers "to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the 'FOX Engine'" — the developer's in-house game engine powering its unnamed "Project Ogre." The job listings indicate that Kojima Productions' next Metal Gear game will be developed in Japan and the United States, which is certainly uncommon for original Metal Gear Solid games. Hideo Kojima has said in the past that he's interested in pursuing collaborations with Western developers.

Beenox came released a trailer today of their “Web Rush” feature. In Web Rush mode, everything around Spidey slows down, allowing for on-the-fly navigational and battle decisions to happen in a quick and flowing fashion. This is the first video game based on a movie release that has excited me since… well, Spider-Man 2. Hopefully Beenox provides a fun and active way for players and Peter to get around New York. Square’s going big on Hitman Absolution ahead of E3 next week, releasing a teaser image for the E3 trailer of the IO action sequel before its general release tomorrow. Not much to say on it, though. There’s guns, a group of women and the word ‘Tease’ written behind them. Going by what we’ve heard, you’ll definitely need to see the trailer tomorrow. That’s all we’re saying. It’s going live tomorrow from 1pm BST. Yea but easy to follow. SaintsRow, your a nobody that by luck was saved by julius whom formed the 3rd street saints which you join to stop the 3gangs & bring back peace to Stillwater. SaintsRow2, you wake up out of a comma only to find that in the time you were out Ultor owns Stillwater & 3new gangs runs the streets. You then rescue Johnny Gat from a death sentence then you rebuild the Saints & take on Ultor & the 3gangs. SaintsRow:The3rd, The 3rd street saints has become a popular name, they own merchandise which falls underthe Saints/Ultor brand. Unfortunately you & a few saints robbed the wrong bank & end up in Steelport restarting almost from square 1, & finding out things are very different in Steelport. You go from bum to gangster to famous gangster lol.
Sony had considered making PS4 a download-only console at one point, but according to sources “familiar with the matter,” the firm decided to go with the tried and true “optical disk drive” model, according to The Wall Street Journal.
