I guess they're a better deal than $15 for the gold bling suits. Still way too much to pay for a novelty item in my opinion. I'm sure that I'd be tired of wearing it after the first few times. I know that I could find several clothing items that I would wear much more regularly for the same amount. Or 2 new personal spaces for that matter.

As mentioned several posts back, they could be worth it if they unlocked a mini-game or something similar to the Sodium pilot jacket. But, nope, they just make you look like a CGI extra in a Michael Bay movie. I understand that there are development costs for a relatively complex item but it's still not worth more than a couple quid to me.

I feel these are overpriced as well but I assume the company is banking on the higher price offsetting the lower number of purchases. If they only made a mini game to go with it or even a personal space where you could race others these would sell for 10 no problem. Oh well I'll admire those of you that buy them.

So glad I lucked out and got mine for $2.99. I thought that was kinda pricey. There's no way I would have payed $9.99.

People who got 'lucky' getting this high-priced Mech Suit cheap and other comments aside, I can't help but hope that perhaps there will be some sort of 'patch' to 'add' a standard walk/run animation to these costumes as was in the case of the nDreams Black Robe where the walk animation was changed to a 'floating' version. Time will tell.

Is the walk that big of a deal? I'm not knocking it having a walk option but, I find it unique that it transforms as it moves. Suppose making an option to either be mech or jet wouldn't be that bad though, more options to the $9.99 purchase.

I think the issue is home's build maybe didn't allow them to give the suits an option of changing walks, maybe in the future they could be updated to allow us to select to walk or fly along, I think if it were possible now Lockwood would have done it with these.

They are okay. I think they should be 3-4dollars cheaper because at the end of the day. You cannot customize this avatar. It's prebuilt.. You will show it off a couple times and the novelty will wear off.. (Most any items do anyway but..most items are around 25c-5dollars..) But that is TO me. I am not really a sci-fi nut. I also still don't own the majority of active item games & spaces, so currently I can spend that 10 dollars elsewhere and get more..

If Home really wants to sell these custom animations.. It should just be something we can buy for "our" avatars. Then we can buy whatever costume we want with it afterwards. I think that might be too much work but.. I can dream..
I do like the white and purple one though.

For me it's a big deal. You literally cannot move a muscle without transforming. The way I see it, you're paying $9.99 for a costume that you can't even enjoy. That's how I see it anyway. And over time I know this will just annoy me more and more.

Being able to cruise along as a jet is cool. And so are the special moves. But it shouldn't come at the price of removing basic features.

I understand your reasoning here. I think the reason I say that about the walk is because I see all these cool outfits these days and when most of them run its usually that "PS Home Jog" if you catch my drift, and it takes away from the realness of the costume. That's just how I see it, but I'm totally open for an option to either have the outfit walk or transform/glide around, I'm all up for variety.

That is a good point. Some unique walking animations would also be a nice touch.

I got lucky too, but I just sick of home jacking up price after few hours. You know it’s a marketing ploy get people to influences others to buy. If this really keep up I can see home getting less fun. I really missed day you can go cinema and watch movie trailer and get something from it. Now days you walk into cinema and all the movies spots showing marking junk, stuff like hip hop gamer etc. C’mon on sony give us some more free stuff

I'm inclined to agree that the US$2.99 probably wasn't a mistake. Get some of the suits out there for people to see, because god knows people aren't going to see very many if they're priced at US$9.99 from the get-go, and you'll never get a chance to entice those of questionable financial wisdom to buy them if they never even see them.

Me, I actually saw them at US$2.99 and I still passed on buying even one of them. That's probably more than enough comment on what I think of the US$9 .99 price.

Sigh. I thought more highly of Lockwood.
