Today at 14:15 BST, the Your PlayStation Home server was subject to an unauthorized intrusion that placed a line of code to the main index files of two sites on the server, the aim of this code was to inject malware on to users PC's.

I would like to ask users to please run a full and updated virus scan on your system to make sure that no malware as made its way to you system.

The attack come from a IP based in Romania and a full system scan has taken place on the server to make sure everything is now fine and clear, what I'm happy to report is the case :)

Please note, no personal information has been subject to any unauthorized viewing, we where just subject to a new malware attack that's making it's way around the internet.

I would also like to add i think people should be clear, because the page it was added to give out a error line and did not load the page, what should have stopped the malware from running, but better to be safe and run a scan anyway :)

A good free Malware scanner can be found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Hi Carla. Thank you for the notice and everything is under control. I am hoping my work doesn't think they contracted the malware thru my PC to their I.T server infrastructure as long their server system is super secure and overly firewall protected and on the clock protection.

Humm... Sony position open for someone who knows how to detect illegal and malicious code. Wonder who might be first in line to do a good job at that. :)

I second the malwarebytes software. I've used it to clean up several friends computers that had been rendered useless by spyware and other junk.

I went to link and it said $24.95 to buy. I wonder how many of these so called mal-ware detection people had a part in creating the mal-ware in the first place. Also why not use Windows Security Essentials its free not just a come on to spend $24.95. So now we have to pay protection money to the mob?

Yeah the free version is where they plant all the potential problems that are avoided once you pay 24.95 for full version.; I am kidding but to tell you the truth I have heard of things like this happening. Trust no one. It is a hard road to go down but were living in hard times. In fact I am kind of paranoid about my name below this saying I am currently browsing this thread...
