Trading or finding cheaperJapan PSN Cards?

Are you sick of being ripped off for buying foreign PSN cards? Would you like to trade cards codes? If you do decide to trade codes, be sure to do it in PM. This thread is to help people wanting to buy stuff for Home Japan, US, and UK. Well, for those that are trust worthy, people are willing to trade for US and EU cards. If you can't trade, you could lead us to trustworthy sites to purchase these cards.

The easiest way is to find a Japan friend, or other regions friend, who is willing to trade. I would suggest you start off with a small card until you've built up some trust and know each other. I've personally been lucky to have a friend who has helped me trade lately. It certainly helps with the cost of clothes in Japan which aren't cheap.

I agree with Joanna - Now that this fiasco with Sony and being hacked - you know that there will be many out there ready to rob you blind. And there won't be anything you can do to recoup your losses.

Play it safely. Hopefully you will find a friend who can help - either by trading directly one on one - or that friend of yours may know someone who can get you intouch with them.

Either way - best of luck.

Yeah. I agree with you and Joanna. With the frustration of others, the downtime can bring out unsavory people. Well, at least there are ten dollar PSN cards, Even if it won't help you in being conned. :|

You can still get EU cards for less than cost good deal. I have a feeling after this major psn screw up your going to find cheaper cards for awhile. Since I know people are doing the unthinkable going either to or back to xbox live. So sony better pony up some deals. Home is different in a sense there's nothing like this anywhere else. So we wont lose population but the rest of psn will differently take a hit.

I lucked out in Japan before April fools event cancellation. Play asia had a sale on yen cards almost at cost. So keep an eye on them maybe they'll repeat it...

Gateway to Japan are selling 3,000 Yen PSN cards for $37.99, that's very near current exchange rates I think, so that's pretty good: PS3 Playstation Japan Store Network Ticket 3000 Yen Download Cards + Instructions , FAST !!

UK £ PSN cards the cheapest I know are £25 for £19.99 which is a good 20% off but you will need someone who is in the UK to get them for you, as they don't sell codes digitally:
    7dayshop.com - Online Store

As for NA PSN cards I normally buy them on ebay.com when I see a good price.

I've used 7dayshop on a couple of occasions and all went well.

Ebay listing usually cost 10 to 20% more because the owner needs to pay the extra expense for the listing and paypal fees.

Forgot which region, but I heard a few users that bought them from Amazon marketplace, inputted the code, confirms the amount, but won't let you accept the transaction. Most of them seemed to have asked for a refund but got a reply that they don't accept and I believe Amazon did nothing about it also.

I've known about play-asia.com for quite some time now but I haven't bought anything from them yet. Are they reliable? How long does it take for them to send the redeem code to you? The "Digital" versions of 5000yen is 72.90 USD and the 10000yen is going for 139.00 USD now.

Gateway to Japan and mmoga both use paypal and send codes digitally I generally look for safest options like paypal first trading code codes can be differcult due to card size and exchange rates a 1000 yen card is about thirteen pounds for instance so trading can be even more expensive

Before I started trading, the best seller I found was Sondox on Ebay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She carries JP, HK and UK cards, though usually not in large numbers. Her prices are very reasonable, and she promptly sends the codes by email (Sondox is in Asia, so remember the time difference). Best of all, she types out the codes manually; you won't receive a digital scan that you can't read or that is inaccurate. I never had any problems with her.

I too would recommend Sondox on Ebay for Asian psn cards. I use buy my USA psn cards on Ebay till I meet a nice friend who we trade cards like $30 uk one for 1 $10 and 1 $20 Psn card so none of us get short of cash. So My tip try find someone who you can trade with however if you can’t try ebay and look for high rated seller of em.

Go ahead and let her use your card, Kane. After all, it's Home. How much damage could she possibly do?

Just don't forget to buy me a MechJet, Innocent! :p
