We are aware of the reward freezing issue and are working on a fix. In the meantime, it may help to log in with a secondary account. We thank you for your patience and for your continued support.

Personally, I'm completely appalled that the E3 space is still up

That's so stupid, use a second account? Sure if I can transfer rewards I'd gladly use another account. Oh wait, I can't.

I feel unsatisfied that they say use a secondary account when this should of been fixed before e3 hit, And how would you beable to get the rewards on your main account, And what happens if you secondary accounthas the same problem do you keep making new ones ?

Load of bull if you ask me they been knew about this bug but they do nothing to act on it and had plenty of time to fix it..

Because this space has a whole bunch of rewards that nobody has and everybody wants to earn in the next few days. The potential for infecting thousands of users with the bug is perhaps a touch higher than it would be for the 8 people who still need the last free T-shirt from SingStar.

    Are you kidding me?

That certainly fits with me. I try to obtain every reward I can, as soon as I can. I love Home rewards even more than I love buying lots of Home stuff... and I like that a lot.

So, people who obsessively collect rewards are more likely to be hit by the bug that stops you gaining rewards, eh? Well, you can see why we're annoyed then! This bug targets the people who'll be most upset by it. Love it. :biglaugh2:

You are 100 percent correct Liza. Leaving that space up knowing full well what it will do to thousands of accounts is really very very disappointing and mind boggling to me actually.

I suppose the embarrassment of pulling the space is more important than the welfare of home users. Capitalism at it worst I'm afraid. It's really very poor marketing strategy overall in my view.

The rewards need to be removed and then the space should be left up. Sadly the comments by Locust where he has actually indicated that the space will remain for a much longer period of time only compounds the issue and insures that many many more will be affected by it during the month.

At the very least if the space is to remain for E3 it should be pulled immediately afterwoods and then ONLY RETURNED after the reward bug has been fixed.

In terms of us Home users, Sony is indeed screwing alot of us. The Home staff should do something about that. Or at least be more visible about warning folk. But alot of people are suddenly going to learn about why their accounts don't work.

But I believe that Sony's viewpoint is more along the lines of promoting their new Vita, which represents an attempt to revitalize their vast but week portable gaming console. And giving a good launch to the new games like UC3.

We're small potatos to them. Their focus is on new markets, corporate strategy, and sadly, not PS Home customer service,.

They've even admitted that the error mainly affects those with a large reward inventory. So, the very people who promote Home to their friends and support it the most are the ones being alienated by the lack of communication.

I don't think it has to do with reward inventory. There are a number of users here who have created new accounts and who have suffered the same fate. Hard to say what causes this given many of us know that we are able to receive some rewards without being affected.

Sadly the Mansion Garage and certainly E3 have compounded the issue and insured that the problem is now a chronic one affecting thousands of users.

The home team is now only responding to the issue because it has become apparent to them that not doing so would be a very bad idea. I'm not particular enamored with the solution of leaving the space up for a longer period of time to only insure that many more are affected.

And Navy, I do believe you are right in your assessment that home users aren't a priority with this issue at the moment.

The problem is more prevalent among people with large reward inventories because we're the ones out collecting these rewards and increasing the risk of catching the bug. It's a pretty obvious correlation but unlikely to be the cause. Unless they can find a specific reward common to everyone with the problem, I'll remain skeptical of that theory.

It's like saying that IV drug users are mysteriously more susceptible to HIV. Well, of course they are. However, it's the result of sticking themselves with dirty needles, nothing to do with their individual physiological make-ups.

I know I fit into the group of people, that has tons of rewards.

I hope they intend to do what they are doing with the E3 space, with whatever else is released with rewards for a limited time.

Even though a statement was finally made about the rewards bug, I still can't help but feel rather disappointed with Sony. We get very little support for Home, especially if you call Sony for help. Most of the time, it's the Home community that is coming up with solutions for issues, way before we get a response from Sony or a real fix for the problem. With that said, I think they owe us better support and customer service, plus more communication with the management team, as was stated we were supposed to get, quite a while ago. I am fine with us not being able to know a lot about upcoming content for Home, but why we can't get better communication on other things, makes little sense to me, especially when we were told we would get that.

In any case Sony should have fixed this bug when it first cropped up, not only when it became a major problem.

IMO, Sony needs to hire a couple of high-level programmers (even if only short-term) to fix these problems. In parallel to that, add some people in tech support who actually UNDERSTAND Home and how to get things done.

The lack of communication and the problems we have been experiencing our seriously ailienating us, Sony's loyal customers. The problem may just be that Sony doesn't think Home is worth the investment. If that's true, it's a very sad day.

    I posted my thoughts here.

I don't think this glitch is even a blip on the radar of the big wigs in Sony. I doubt Jack tretton or Kazuo Hirai even know about it. Other than as a "minor temporary inconvenience". They probably leave this stuff to the people under them like Jack Buser. Locust and Glasswalls probably realize the scope of this but those two have no real power to fix this. Still, they can handle it better. People need more communication from PS Home's management.

Probably because it's not sexy or glamorous, but neither is a sewage treatment plant, but if those are ignored, well, I don't think I need to say it.
