Has anyone on the NA or UK versions of Home noticed extremely long load times the past week or two?

Mine will load up 3/4 bar and then sit there for like 5-8 minutes now. Never did that before and I haven't really added much content.

I know we're close to update time and the server tends to backup around now, but it seems like since the last update or two the load time has just been really annoying.

When that happens it's because your Home file has become partially corrupted. It will not get better you'll notice other problems in your home travels. Particularly like in novus prime, midway 2, sodium spaces as well as others. So before it gets really bad delete and reinstall home...

Thanks Strider and Smack. I'll give that a try and see if that improves anything.

have same problems since 1.4 was out, only way to fix is to delete home client and reinstall
    on my fat ps3, i'm over 25 delete/reinstall
on my recent slim, i had to do it twice in a week span T_T
hope 1.5'll fix this annoiying bug

It seems like mine runs slowly as well, I end up having to reinstall every 2 weeks or so just so I'm not sitting at the black Home loading screen for 5-10 minutes. I also heard setting your cache size to 3 or 5 helps load spaces faster, haven't tried it out myself though.

hmmmm... I dunno why it would stall out like that. Mine is not as fast as it was a few months ago, but it's not that slow.

at 10 seconds I'm on black boot screen
at 50 secs blue start up screen
    60 seconds have pda
110 seconds items verified and I'm in.

is that what you are talking about?

Mine was always slow at loading stuff in Home, the hard drive (orange light) was going constantly, and it was a brand new 160GB PS3. So I put in a faster HDD (a 320 GB 7200 RPM one for about $50) and now everything loads significantly faster. So if your HDD is also chugging a lot then upgrading it might be a good investment. Not saying this applies to everyone though, it's possible your internet connection might be lagging it.
