Hi all, This thread i will be using to inform you of updates to the site when they happen, be it from updated systems to new systems. Updates will be made via a reply to this thread, this means when you see a new reply, you know somethings been updated and you can view just what that was This thread is unlocked, and we ask that users give feedback on the updates, but please do not make a new reply for this, but post a comment to the update that you wish to give feedback on. To comment, just press the "Comment" button that you see under each post, using the comment system helps me keep track of your feedback to updates better. Feature added to Resources Users can now search direct for the resources side bar, to find a resource they are after. Has you start to type in the Find Resource box, it will start to list resources that it finds based on the content typed into the box so far.
Articles System Updated The Articles system as been updated and give a bit of a fresh look, a number of bug fixes have taken place also, along with a few new features like being able to sort the articles via "Activity, Likes, Ratings & Views. You will also see that we are now tracking the views count of the articles, you can view this just by moving your mouse over a article image. You can also, view the tags, likes, ratings of a article just by clicking the icons on the overlay.
Post Comments Updated Post comments now have a visual character limit number when posting post comments. Users can now also report post comments, via the report link on the comments. Few Bug fixes.
Insert image with options update The "Insert image with options" button on the post editor has now been updated to support being able to compare two images, like the following eg below. [bimg=720]33688|33689[/bimg] Below you can also watch a video to see just how this is done.
Showcase The showcase system as just undergone a big update, full details of this update can be found in the following thread: Site feedback - Upcoming updates to Showcase | YourPSHome.net - Your PlayStation Home Community Site Style The sites style as been updated and a number of little design bugs have been made along with a small edit to the overall design.
Showcase We have started to update our sites personal spaces Showcase listings, to display rewards the rewards you can earn from that space, if it supports rewards. This information is pulled direct from our rewards database and clicking on any the rewards will take you direct to that rewards information in the database This will be rolled out to all the personal spaces that support rewards over the coming month and might make its way to public space listings also. Release dates Have moved the Release dates pages from the 'Dates' on the menu to the Resources system on the menu, this free's up menu space and groups information more into one area. Another plus of this move is you can see when the page has been updated
Resources Added a A-Z page nav to the resources system, to make for better sorting and faster movement around resources. Before: After:
Your Profile Users can now upload a Profile Cover image to the top of their profile page, you can also reposition the image and also swap/remove the image any time you want.
Media Gallery A problem with the comments editor box not loading as now been fixed, so users can not once again comment to media.
Front Page/News Portal The front end of the site, where you view the latest news now has a new system and look, this for the most part makes it better for site admins to add news to the front end, but at the same time it gives users a cleaner look and feel. Using a phone, it will now look much better also because the old system used to cut away the titles.
Email Alerts for profile posts/status/comments Users can now pick if they wish to also get a email alert saying when someone has posted a profile post or comment on their profile page. Their is 4 email alert types you can turn off or on, see image below. To turn off or on head to Your Account and then pick Email Preferences: http://www.yourpshome.net/account/email-preferences
User tagging alerts. When a user is tagged into a post, you will now be sent an email alert letting you know you have been tagged, for users who do not know what tagging is, it's when you @ someones site id into a post like @kwoman32 Like always you can turn the email alerts off, via your contact details: http://www.yourpshome.net/account/contact-details
Profile Posts Sidebar update Profile posts and status updates can not be posted direct from the sidebar.
Menu Update The Database part of the main menu has been updated to give quicker access to the main parts of the database system.
Conversations You can now search your own conversations, just load the Conversations system and use the search bar making sure you tick the box "Search Only Conversations".
Forums/Showcase Forums, that support the sites Showcase system, will now show a new "Create Showcase" button next to the "Post New Thread" button, for faster access to starting a new showcase item.
