The remarks about a skin system and previews of posts having to be coded by Jive from the ground up just again shows how out of date the platform is. Even free forum platforms have them basic systems.

I read it and laughed so hard I actually almost chocked on my soda!

The biggest complaint has been the coloring... actually its one of the key reasons people left next to the moderators and the still confusing setup.

To say its 'in the works' means what I posted along time ago how the other companies who use JIVE were using the same color scheme. Now we know.. changing the colors is just too much work for them...

    >.>; Gee now im starting to get an idea how I got pulled into the cross hairs of mohawk ...

Still, what kind of forum setup makes color changes that difficult??

Oh, btw... dont say I showed you all this but...

    • Basic Configuration - Easily configure your site's color scheme and logo for simple tailoring of the look
    and feel

Based on the research I've found before my ban and after. Jive just hands out the POS software to people and says "here you go fix it like you want and we'll host it". The companies are expected to know how to code and tweak it how they want... So realistically the reason the software 'uber duper' is a POS is because the community managers incharge of the forums, etc. Just didnt know how to do their jobs or consider basic functionality... they took the 'default' setup of the software and slapped it up with a 'we'll see what they say' mentality....

Sadly your entering the 4th week of being in place.. and now you can see exactly how well that 'department' actually know their job *cough*.

Well, as I've said several times, I'd really like to know what sort of testing Sony did on this platform before deciding to release it. I think it's fair to say it wasn't "ready for prime time."

i wonder if the reason they made the change was cause there contract with lithium was up ( if they had one ) or if it was cause they wanted more control on the forums or if it was cause jive is cheaper?

it is good to see they are trying to get things working better there but i think it is going to still take them a few more weeks.

I think it was to save money, and to utilize the social networking aspects.

They didn't say anything about the RULES and FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!

or maybe I have to read it again – I just woke up! Did I miss the part about being able to edit OP's?
