View attachment 6171 Bad news just in, Irem who have made many a great space and items for PlayStation Home have confirmed they will stop work on PlayStation Home and will also be removing the following spaces from Home on the 1st September 2011. Spaces to be removed: Irem SquareGathering Place for SpelunkersSeaside of MemoriesSparkle in the Void of SpaceFields of Ge KitoWaiting Battle FieldIrem Headquarters Floor 2Irem HeadquartersIrem School Life & Irem GINDAMA Hymane Shopping Street will remain for now, buts its unclear for how long they will stay. Irem have also confirmed that starting in August all items on Home for sale will be removed from the stores, apart from items in the Irem School Life space. It's not yet confirmed what will happen with other regions, but its very likely the content will be removed also, but any content you payed for should remain, so if you have been putting off buying a Irem item, i would get it now before its to late.
Wow seriously!? Being true I kinda think they owe an explanation to Home users then this sounds so weird.
Its sure is bad news, i just hope Granzella can take over where Irem left off by adding great looking and fun spaces.
I've also heard about Irem closing, really sad news since it was one of my favourite designers in Japan Home. Anyway, i havent heard about removing of spaces and items. But i just hope we can still use the items we already bought unless i'll turn mad (and i wont be alone). I bought soooo many of their items over one year, would be terrible if we cant keep them.

Hopefully we will still have the items. This is horrible news since they had some wonderful items in JP that never made it to the us or eu.

Hmmm, Locust Star says they will provide an update. Will that be before or after they say what happened to the EA poker room. I hope we get an explanation, but seeing how things have been done on the playstation forums, I HIGHLY doubt it.
Wow, this is terrible news The irem spaces have been a highlight for me since I started using a JP account, so I'll be sad to see them leave.
I'm sure content you have payed for will be fine. But it will be a shame to see the spaces go. In with DD on having a event before they go.
This is crushing news. I can't believe I'm waking up to this. Just amazing. IREM is such a big part of Japan. You'd think that at the least the content already released would be staying. This for Japan with the many many spaces it has – we only have three – will be a very big blow. I don't even want to think about it. It's spoiled my day to say the least.
Granzella will need to get some spaces out fast because Irem going will make a big hole in Japan Home when it comes to public spaces.

Good morning, Joanna. *takes a sip of coffee* I'd like to point out that most of Irem's really popular spaces were developed by Kujo. Perhaps he and Irem can come to an understanding? We can always hope.
