I'm in the UK, I know there are differences between NA home and EU home, I don't use my NA account much so I would find it hard to comment on NA.

But I have Playstation Plus. I am happy with it. It "just", justifies itself. I get to try a few games out, a couple have been keepers.

It is nice to get to play the big francaises, that otherwise would cost big money, just nice to have a go, then know what people are chatting about.

We get extra make up in Home which is nice to have, but I confess to not using it "everyday".

I was dissapointed, because for halloween it'd be cool to have a make up kit to do scary face make up.

Of course you get a thanks too for this… And a special bonus commendation for not insisting Home IS out now on the PS4.

Glad you're enjoying it & finding it quite useful for your needs!

(Just because I dislike it doesn't mean I think everyone should. We like what we like. Besides, think how boring the universe would br if we all liked the exact same things. Always.)

    Have a good one Adrian!

I didn't want anything to do with ps plus for the longest time, but I jumped into it when they started offering full games for free. Now they have started with good discounts on other games as well, which makes it even more of a value. It has definitely been worthwhile for my wife and I, as we have both been able to find games that we can enjoy in our free time.

The only problem I have now, with the full games, is lack of HDD space.

The thing I really love about PS+ is that it gets me playing games I might otherwise not have tried. In terms of PS Vita I've hardly even purchased any games since most of the top titles wind up on Plus.

In terms of Home use alone there really isn't much there and I'd never recommend it to anyone who isn't much of a gamer.

That's the only problem I have with PS Plus...disc space.

That's one of the big probs I have with PS+… it's digital only, which I've grown to despise.

And don't forget it is a rental program more than anything else Sony claims to the contrary; the moment you stop paying your dues is the moment your "free" collection is locked out… until you pay up again, that is.

The required HDD space is immense, as are the seemingly-endless hours of download time to grab them online. Especially for most "A" titles,. Remember when Siren: Blood Curse from back in '98? A whopping 9GB download + a half day or longer to download Though we've a terrific high-speed broadband line here, I instead chose to get the Asian retail edition, and for a good deal less than PSN's going rate at the time.

For a strange reason, I feel quite strongly that a game I've purchased is mine to play whenever I wish. Even years and/or decades in the future. Which is something I've done on a regular basis for as long as I've owned gaming systems. (What can I say, we've ~13 consoles plugged into the main HDTV now, the oldest is now about 22 years. But I've additional consoles & handhelds going back to 1976 or so. Anyone remember the Microvision? Love that handheld!)

Thing is, there's still no realistic permanent solution available to us all. one which ensures our downloaded items will remain safely stored & readily available for decades (beyond that console's current end-of-cycle) But for now, when the HDD or console unit goes out, often enough it's often also goodbye to your downloads & DLC.

Certain games will absolutely be pulled from console stores & servers due to rights issues, IP sales, or other legal disputes (it's already occurred during past years, and still is). Or the company just halts support and shuts their server down, or goes out if business. This has already been fact for years.

I've tried downloads before, but I've yet to see any server-based game store inspire confidence that my digital games remain my games. It's more a temporary rental service. And yes, I've been screwed over on digital game purchases services before (remember Micro$oft yanking all Xbox content before bothering to even announcing it was being shuttered? At least there were forced to put the servers back up for a few months…).

A better workable solution will inevitably arrive at some point, but we're not there yet. Until then, I'll stick with my ever-reliable carts & discs… they've not failed me in my 38 years of home gaming. Better, they can't ever have playback capability remotely shut off.

Except for Microsoft, that is, but only if I actually get an Xbox One unit (not gonna happen).

Microsoft thought it prudent included a "feature" for the Xbox that can prevent any disc purchased at retail — new or used — from being played if necessary (same reasons I mentioned earlier: legal disputes, IP sales, dev closures, etc.). Just not right on so many levels…

Those are some of my reasons. I certainly don't expect most of you to agree with them, but that's perfectly fine. No biggie. Just as long as you respect my choicesThat's one of the big probs I have with PS+… it's digital only, which I've grown to despise.

My only wish is for gamers to be well-informed on the positive & negative aspects of the current state of digital game offerings. The negatives just tend to get smoothed over or ignored. In the end, you can decide what's best for yourself in such situations, right?

And with that, I never want to post again.

        Maybe tomorrow then…

Regards to all, and don't go crazy during tonight's maintenance!
