They really are a bit of the same just Xbox has things done differently.
I don't really have any friends w/ ID's like that seems strange to want to do that.

Sounds like a bit of wishful thinking though it would be nice.

Asking for a little more patience is fine - but how much more is that? A day - 2 days - week? And when did they decide they had to "rebuild" their system?

And what about everyone's information that use CC or debit cards to make purchases? Is that information safe?

I think Sony is run by TEPCO exec's. sheesh

Makes you wonder what the outside developer's are now thinking of Sony and Home?

Is it worth their time/effort/$$$$ to begin/continue to develop items/spaces for Home if people can hack into their system "at will" and bring the whole network crashing down?

Sony needs to learn to become a bit more transparent to its partners and userbase fans when it comes to information.

I find it funny that all those times i've worried about someone hacking PSN & my HCV friend would tell me over & over don't think about it PSN can't be hacked, well maybe Sony should've worried a little more huh.
Also I think you can start fires that way HOPPER_34 lol

I have heard that for so long and from so many people too...."oh that cant happen......that will never happen.....". My concerns about something like this started back when I learned about ISE's. At that time I asked what would stop people than can do that from hacking PSN and/or user accounts.

The point JP made about independent developers has to be a concern as well. Are they supposed to have confidence and feel that their efforts and money are worthwhile if this sort of thing can happen?

Well, glad they have decided "that it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security" now! You think?? They think its worth their time?? A statement like that is just so...........man, I dont even know what to say anymore. :vb_banghead: Its unbelieveable. Should be interesting to see how this goes. Be prepared for the inevitable problems that are coming as a result of whatever they do to the servers. Ah well, we'll see....

on a more positive note....HAPPY EASTER to everyone! :flowers:

P.S.--ok Vampire...good point about starting a fire....I guess I will have to leave them on the floor then! lol

I'm lucky with that because I only have $0.01 left in my wallet. I was debating wether or not to get one before this happened. Decided not to since i'm saving up for for a car.

My friend sent me an e-mail with this inside.
    Free lesbian po.....OOPS WRONG E-MAIL tee-hee :p

i had to renew my norton for my computer..it crashed it to where i could not get on the internet. I uninstalled it and then was able to get on. I called norton support and got them to help me. The guy said pshome was hacked by someone who got sued or sued sony. he said firmware 3.56 or something was hacked and they got to rebuild it from scratch. He said it might even be a couple of weeks..OMG..how will we survive without home.

Very evil... 5 days gone, and no update from the maintenance crew... This is insane!

And, today was the day we get our goslings companion from the Egg games. :(

just change the date on your ps3 to the 24th for the goslings if they dont give you the reward when you get back (which they should).

That method was patched up a week after the active item was put in the mall to buy. It had been posted and everyone found out about it, including Lockwood, so the following maintenance update they changed it so the Goslings companion reward was based on the server clocks and not your PS3 clock.

I really hope they compensate for this and make it so the reward is earnable once PSN and Home are back online, none of us were anticipating this attack and shutdown when they had changed the item's reward around.

Also, they have a sale going on for Toro's apartment, shirts, and other Toro stuff in Japan Home this week to celebrate Toro's 1st anniversary.

Oh, I know, Chad. I just got back from Charleston, turned my PS3 on, and it's still down. :(
