  1. hello fellow YPSH member :), i just want to let you know this is my first blog ever so take it easy on me ok lol.

As you all know this past update home add alot of new things, the biggest hyped of them all was the mansion space with it's heavy price tag (by home standards lol) $15. There may be a few that have bought this space and so not yet or not planning to. So this got me to thinking about the evolution of prices in home. I remember back when people ( including myself ) were in an up roar about the witch doctor outfit being $2.49 and then the golden toliet bein $4.99. But now have outfits with prices like the mech suit for $9.99 and the golden suit for $14.99 and spaces like the mansion. There is still people that complain about the prices but you still see people buying these items. Now all this has got me wondering what amount would be to much for everyone not to buy it or is there even a limit to where no one will buy it? Now don't get me wrong i know home needs these microtransactions so they can make home better. Also that some things will be a little higher cause of outside companys like lucas arts to be in home. But what are you going to do when a outfit is $30 are you still going to buy it? How about $40 or $50 would that be to much?

Everyone on home should know that home can not survive without us. But we can survive without home (well most of us lol). There are ways to show sony and more so the home team that we are not willing to pay these high prices. One way would for as many of us as possible not buy anything over $5. If enough of us did that for over a month, just think in that time if like maybe only 300 people bought things over $5 don't you think those prices would come down?? Now another thing we could try ( which this would be alot harder ) is if we could get everyone and i do mean eveyone to not buy anything for two weeks. Yes i know this you be next to impossible to do but if it did happen just think at how fast the prices you drop. But these are for the most part drastic measures i don't believe we could get enough people to go with it.

So in the end it is up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for that must have item in home. But in 6 months, a year, or even 2 years down the road if the prices are just too high for you. Just remeber we had the chance to stop them now but we just had to have that item. Cause by then they are not going to care as long as there are people to buy that item.

Well i hope everyone likes this and hope eveyone has a great weekend :)

Great Idea, but if people have the money and are very fortunate they won't hesitate. I don't waste my money or my time so I try to use the internet as my resourse to see if such personal spaces or items are worth the price! Only thing I can do is give adivice to spend it wisely telling others to use youtube for example (the tree house is dull). The mansion is over rated especially since you can't move your furniture and nothing extraordinary even when they show further updates! If they would have added things like playing a game with the tiger or making the tiger do movements...... idk a backyard carnival, a closet of clothes. I like your comment, but what I think is awful is how our home has more spaces than Uk and Hong Kong WTF, but it still is F U N to meet ppl from different countries :) Enjoy your Weekend too

Yes price should match the value. Hudson barely charged for there dolphy space. And it provided a ton of fun. But other spaces cost more and provide nothing. People just need to be smarter with knowing what they are buying. Another reason YourPSHome.net Rocks.... insight.

Well, I think the prices need to be in line with how much enjoyment we'll get out of the item. I thought $5 was a bit much for some of the early personal spaces, considering how bare bones they were. But I bought them because I wanted to support Sony. Now I think $5 for spaces like the Weekend Lake House is a great deal. I would like to think it's Sony's way of giving back to the community for the support they've received.

$15 for one space, or $35 for a collection of 4 spaces? That's another story. I guess it's hard for me to comment though, because the Mansion with its gold-plated fixtures and appliances just seems over the top to me. I mean, come on, a tiger with bling?

If it was something that really grabbed me I'd probably have a different attitude. I do want the Mansion to succeed, because I would like to see more premium spaces in Home. I just wish the devs had gone with a truly sophisticated look, and not hip hop nouveau riche.
