Aurora level 55 freeze

Help! I was on Aurora Island (public) playing the orbrunner game and I reached level 55, was informed "You have received a new Item" and immediately froze. No matter what I did, I could not back out or anything, well you know what froze means, so I ended up pressing the off button in front of my ps3. I logged back on and when the HDD and www icons disappeared and it was time to press circle I got the "you have rented items to be renewed came up (my neb booster) okay but then the "you have received a new item" came up also and there I was locked up again. I have spoken to technical support and we deleted home, tried everything. Cutting short, we ended up doing a restore on my ps3 slim and I had to start over but as you know all inventory and homes were saved. I am back on home but, when I went to my personal space Aurora, the "You have received a new item" came up and I froze up again.

Please help me SOMEONE, ANYONE, I need to get some tech help here badly. I realize you have your hands full with all the other stuff but please someone help me.

I am currently transfering my data from my other ps3 to the slim and I will stay away from Aurora until I can get this problem resolved.
