Contest Time To Sign-up For The Ypsh Minibots Competiton

Minibots Multiplayer has been released (see article here) and when we chatted with Juggernaut about their latest innovation for PS Home, we decided we would do a competition. We gave everyone some time to play Minibots and get familiar with it. Now it's time to start the games!

Starting right now, we are accepting single players and team players. You must register (HERE) to be part of the competition. Anyone can play. Teams must consist of three players. Players/teams will be scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights in both EU Home as well as US Home. (see details below). If you register, you must be available during those times.

As the competition progresses, game results will be posted HERE.


Prizes? You bet! Juggernaut is offering the following rewards for the winners:

The third place finisher in both the team and individual competition will win the chance to design a custom MiniBot decal.

The second place finishers in both the team and individual competition will win the chance to design a custom MiniBot decal and a head decoration.

The first place finishers in both the team and individual competition will win the chance to design a custom MiniBot decal, head decoration and a MiniBot companion which incorporates both! You can choose the name as well.

Juggernaut will work with you to implement your design and release it into Home! The winners will also receive vouchers for the items they design.

Last but not least, YPSH is giving all of the first place winners a $20 PSN card!

The first games will be played on the night of Monday the 13th August!

• All contestants must register to play in the competition by Midnight GMT (8PM EDT) on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.

• The competition will have two categories for users to compete – both Single Player and Team Play. Players can register in both single player and team play competitions, but cannot enter twice in either category. Teams must consist of three (3) players, with a total of 6 players per match. There will be one or two neutral observers to monitor the match.

• There will be one competition with both EU and NA players eligible. Games will be run separately in the EU and NA to determine regional finalists who will then compete for 1st place against one another.

• Matches will be conducted in both the EU and NA on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 8PM EDT (for US players/teams only) and 8PM BST in the EU (for EU players/teams only) from the 13th Auguest. Please note you must be avaialble during these times in order to play in the competiton. We cannot re-schedule matches. Exceptions will only be made if a player experiences connection problems on the PSN. All players may register only once.

• The game will be placed on YPSH EU (ID : YourPSHome) and US (ID : YourPSHomeUS) accounts.

• Games will start with 10 kill games.

• There are leader boards in the space which will show the number of kills to determine the winners. Winners will be determined by the observers. Each time a player or team plays another player or team whichever player or team loses will be eliminated from the competition. The winning player or team will then be re-scheduled to play the next player or team, and so on, until all players and teams, but one, have been eliminated. An observer will observe the results and post them in a message thread for the competition on YPSH.

• Any player not showing up for their scheduled match will automatically be eliminated. If a team player does not show up for their teams scheduled match, then that player will be eliminated and the team must find another player to compete. Teams will only be allowed to do this ONE time. If a team has a "no show" player twice, that team will be eliminated.

• There are 8 unlock-able weapons. It is suggested that players unlock at least one premium weapon and one gadget. There will also be a free item of the week which all contestants will have access to use during the matches.

• The final 3 teams and the final 3 players left in the competion, in each region, will then be entered in the finals. The amount of kills needed to win will be raised.

• The finalists from EU will compete against the finalists from NA for the Grand Prize.

• The competition is closed to YPSH staff who may not participate other than to act as observers during the competition.

The winners will be chosen from finalists who have beaten (by process of elimination) all scheduled opponents. One Grand Prize winner and one runner-up in each category will be chosen and notified by private message on YourPSHome.net. Winners will receive prizes via YPSH and some will come directly from developers who supplied them. Prizes may take up to 2 weeks to be delivered.

By participating, where allowed by law, all participants and winner(s) grant yourpshome.net, and its participating companies, exclusive permission to use their names, PSN ID's, characters, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this contest and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in the Contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that yourpshome.net may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to third parties (i.e., participating developers) and use such information for marketing and other purposes.

Winners email addresses will be given to any participating developers.

Grand Prize winner will be contacted by Juggernaut Games and/or yourpshome.net in regards to their prizes.

Staff members of YourPSHome.net are not eligible. One entry per person.

Claiming of prizes requires a private message response on yourpshome.net within 15 days of being notified of winning at the YourPSHome.net ID supplied by the winner. Failure to respond shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize.

Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings.

If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, YourPSHome.net may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

YourPSHome.net reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at anytime.

Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants.

The prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, yourpshome.net reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, at its sole discretion.

All entrants understand and agree that neither yourpshome.net, participating companies or their employees/staff have any liability with respect to the contestants' participation in the contest or winning a prize.

YourPSHome.net is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.

YourPSHome.net further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including any possible technical failures of any sort.
