To Create a Japanese PSN Account

(all images can be clicked to enlarge)

First Create NEW USER on your PS3 and switch to that account.

Then click the SIGN UP FOR PLAYSTATION NETWORK icon.

Click CONTINUE on the first screen.

Click Create A New Account (New Users)

From here on the process gets a tiny bit more difficult. But with this guide it will be a breeze. At the next screen, first enter your birthday. Then choose JAPAN as your country of residence.The language will switch to Japanese. Now just click the blue right button to continue.

The next page is the standard legal contract you have to accept, in Japanese, so just click the another blue button on the right to continue.

On the next page the top box wants an email address. The second box is for a password. The next is to confirm the password. The check box is for the ps3 to remember the password. After that comes a secret question incase you forget the password. The default is where were you born. Enter anything. Just remember to write it down someplace. Right all of it down. Click the right button again.

Now you get to choose the name for this account

Next comes your name and gender. Click that right button when done.

Next screen is a little bit harder. For the first box enter any 5 digit number. Then put in anything for the next boxes until you can (SURPRISE) click the right button.

From here on you can just press the right buttons until you get an account.



Before you enter Home
Normal accounts in Japan's Home has the Keyboard set to Japanese. But you probably want to type in English, so go to your Keyboard settings in the XMB and set it to Korean. It won't affect anything until you enter Home. But it will cause an error that makes the keyboard type in ENGLISH. Which is what you want.

I've also uploaded a translation of the Japanese Phrases that are under the L1 trigger in Home. And I've included a list of the emotes in japanese too.

Yes, once you have made more than one account you are almost able to memorize the process but still, having the Japan account isn't easy cos everything from there on also is in Japanese.

I'm going to add more pictures to help with that, but tomorrow. It's a bit late to start now. ....
